“So for this particular project, how many homes are we going to be able to protect as a result of getting this done?”
“That's huge, folks, because... There's also the, I mean, I'm sure FEMA's charging a lot for the flood plain for this. And to the extent that we can get this done, would that reduce, perhaps, their insurance costs?”
“I assume that it's a competitive market for loans. So if someone wanted to get their loan refinanced, they can probably eliminate that cost.”
“Right. So there's reasons to move from a federal mortgage to something other than a federal mortgage.”
“So, Mayor, if there are no other questions, I would like to move the recommended action.”
“If there's not any other questions, I make the motion to approve I do have questions So by the way Cal Giesler deserves this I think that they they need they need their streets resurfaced I Guess my question is on the the sources of funds. So I'm looking at page 414 and Noticing that there's six hundred thousand dollars. It's being Paid by the water operating fund in the wastewater operating fund.”
“Would it be possible to see how those calculations were done? I mean, if it's a flat amount, I don't know if that information is readily available. Obviously not available at this very moment, but would it be possible to just see the underlying calculations for, because I don't know if it should be 600,000 or 400,000 or 800,000. Somehow you've come up with this number.”
“Right. I'm just, so should I be looking at like item number 24, adjust manhole frame and cover to finish grade? Is that the? Correct. Okay. And are there any other line items that would be associated with the, where the $600,000 could be derived?”
“Okay, but I've seen these numbers in earlier street resurfacing projects, smaller dollar figures than this, but I've seen that before. So what exactly is... Second... So then what is the exact meaning of this table on page 414? If that's not the source of the funds, what am I looking at? Okay, so those are the available dollars in the project budget. Okay, so we're not going to... Okay, got it.”
“for this particular phase. Right. For the Cal Giesler, this particular public project agreement. Right.”
