Board of County Commissioners - Regular Meeting

The Board of County Commissioners approved several zoning changes, including a request to change a property from GU to AU for improvement, and two companion applications for Cocoa Town Center LLC to change future land use and zoning classifications. A request for a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment and a change of zoning classification for Sami and Violette Salib's property generated significant public opposition, but was ultimately approved with a binding development plan that included restrictions and buffers. The Board also approved a zoning change from AU to RR1 for Anthony Falanga's property and two companion applications for BT Rodes LLC to change future land use and zoning classifications for a business expansion. Additionally, a request for Sandman Outdoor Storage to change zoning from BU1 to BU2 for outdoor boat and RV storage was approved with a binding development plan, and a request from ABRS, LLC to change zoning from BU1 to BU2 for a mini-storage facility was approved with a binding development plan limiting the use to metal self-storage mini-warehouse facilities. Finally, a request from Robin R. and Maxine M. Bland, and Tara Brozman to change zoning from GU to RR1 for two building sites was approved.
