City Council - Regular Meeting

The Mount Vernon City Council adopted several resolutions and ordinances, including one to approve a post-issuance compliance policy for tax-exempt obligations, another to authorize the Knox County Commissioners to act as purchasing agent for natural gas and electric power, and a resolution to authorize the safety services director to apply for a small city program grant. The council also adopted an ordinance to amend vehicle storage regulations and another to reclassify certain zoning areas. Additionally, an ordinance to replace a section of codified ordinances regarding backflow protection was adopted, and a first reading was held for an ordinance fixing compensation and benefits for certain city employees.
