Planning Commission - Regular Meeting

The Planning Commission approved several land use entitlement projects, including a significant 940-acre master plan community called Monument Hills, which will feature military housing and economic development. The commission also approved a special use permit for a single-room occupancy residence, but denied a special use permit for a drug and alcohol abuse treatment facility at the same location. Additionally, several other variances and rezonings were considered, with some approved and others denied based on compatibility with surrounding areas and development standards.
