Council - Regular Meeting

The East Lansing City Council approved an amendment to establish a rental restriction overlay district in the Harvard Cowles neighborhood and another to require fences to face outwards. The council also held a public hearing for a proposed 13-story development on Albert Avenue, but postponed a decision to a future meeting to allow for further review of conditions and agreements. Additionally, the council introduced and referred several zoning amendments to the planning commission and approved resolutions for six charter amendments to be placed on the August and November 2026 ballots.
