The Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved the Women's Club's request for a commercial planned development (CPD) zoning change, allowing them to rebuild their facility with expanded uses including on-premise alcohol consumption. The council also denied a variance request for a deck expansion on Gulf Island Drive, but without prejudice, allowing the applicant to resubmit a modified plan. Additionally, the council approved a special exception for a two-family residence to increase bedrooms and bathrooms, and approved a commercial lease for a new mooring field office.
