City Council - Regular Meeting
The City Council honored outgoing Police Chief Mike Lorenz for 28 years of service and confirmed the appointment of Deputy Chief Rudy Lopez as the new Police Chief. Public comments largely focused on the future of Jay Littleton Ballpark, with residents advocating for its preservation and expressing concerns about potential demolition for a splash pad or parking lot. The Council also voted to withdraw two referendum measures and cancel a special municipal election scheduled for June 2, 2026, related to a convention hotel development.
