Commissioner Comments, Request, Recommendations

This is a time set aside for the Commissioners to make a comment or request to refer a matter that is not on the agenda.

Clerk Additions/Corrections

The Commission Clerk will announce agenda corrections, deletions, and proposed additions, which may be acted on by the Parks Commission as provided in Sections 54954.2 of the California Government Code.

Approve the October 2, 2025, Parks Commission Minutes.

Appoint the Monterey County Parks Commission Chair and Vice Chair for the 2026 calendar year.

Review and approve the 2026 meeting schedule. Parks Commission will meet the first Thursday of every other month at 3:00 p.m., in the Monterey Conference Room, 168 West Alisal Street, 2nd Floor, Salinas, CA 93901. Any Meeting Changes will be posted accordingly.

a. Receive presentation on urban orchards and fruit tree planting in public parks; and, b. Discuss support for developing a fruit tree planting program in select County of Monterey Parks and provide guidance to staff.
