The applicant is requesting to renovate an existing cinder block house in the Historic District. As part of this renovation, the applicant would like to demolish an existing 1 car detached garage to allow access to the proposed two car garage located in the backyard. This garage would be connected to the house by a new back porch and breezeway. The existing front porch will be enclosed and a new front porch created. The cinder block house will be covered using Hardie Plank horizontal lap siding. The gables will be Hardie Plank board and batten siding. All trim will be Hardie Plank and painted white. The applicant would like to replace the existing asphalt shingle roof with a raised seam metal roof. The windows will be 2 over 2 simulated divided light with a black frame.
127 W Richardson Ave
This application is requesting to install seasonal window art for the remainder of this year. Although the artwork is designed on the spot to allow for the free flow of creative expression, the applicant has provided descriptions of each of the themes that they are proposing. Examples of previous installations are provided to represent the type of installations that are intended.
100 Marion Ave
This application is an after-the-fact approval. The applicant had received approval to extend the existing roofline of the accessory structure to create a 20’x22’ pavilion adjacent to their new pool. However, they did not receive approval to raise the pavilion roof above the height of the adjacent accessory structure, increase the size of the pavilion, remove the siding of the accessory structure, alter its façade, and demolish its interior.
