Requesting approval for September 2026 releases, refunds and discoveries.

Request approval of September 2026 Tax Collections update and refunds

For informational purposes only: Per G.S. 159-15 The governing board by appropriate resolution or ordinance may authorize the budget officer to transfer moneys from one appropriation to another within the same fund subject to such limitations as it may prescribe.

Any such transfer shall be reported to the governing board at its next regular meeting and shall be entered in the minutes.

Request approval of the Office of Justice Programs' Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) grant for reimbursement for 50% of the cost of bulletproof vests.

Grant award is for $16,791 and will cover 50% of the purchase price of 28 vests. Funds were included in the annual budget.

Request approval of budget amendment - Haywood County Schools - Helene Capital Recovery Fund $34,466 - to appropriate Hurricane Helene Capital Recovery Funds for the replacement of the Central Haywood generator, vinyl flooring at Clyde Elementary, and sports equipment/netting at Waynesville Middle.

These funds represent the gap between replacement costs and insurance and FEMA reimbursements.
