Chief, sorry, Don or Alderman. Uh, yes. I'd like to call a finance committee meeting at noon on the 17th in the commission room if that's available. If not, then mayor's conference room.
Any other old business or new business? Yes, Joe. I would I was just wondering if the U special committee uh that met tonight if that should be moved to um public protection or one of the other regular committees um at this point or I'm not exactly sure what the procedure is on that. Um no I I don't know it's up kind of the pleasure of the council but yeah I don't know if it makes sense or not. I you know at this point I would say no because we're still trying to investigate and study to see what we need to do. So special studies would be fitting if you ask me. That's my opinion.
Okay. My only thought was that, you know, there are other issues around the unhoused that, you know, are coming up and and uh um I I mean is is the request to have counsel and the public safety perspective at these meetings or is it a No, I mean I I I mean I would think it would stay in special studies for a while. I'm fine with that. I didn't know what the procedure was so Yeah. Yeah, thank you.
Yeah, there's always as long as we get going on this, we'll there will be a lot of things we have to tackle, unfortunately. But I think it was a good start. Uh we could spend hours on this and it's hard. I mean, this we all have a hard job on this. Um because we all have different feelings on this and how do you articulate the feeling that everyone can kind of gravitate towards and that's the trick. So if it takes more time it does but we we're going to try to get it right. So but please don't uh you know look at what other communities are doing. I mean really take a look at that of uh look what a municipal league the um their ordinance their sample ordinance and just visualize what maybe what's good and bad and pluck in some things that maybe that would apply to Jacksonville. You know the you know the vibe of this town more than anybody and what works and what doesn't and uh you know my view might be different than what Darcel is might be different than what Mary's is. So, but I think we all want to we know there's issues and we're going to try to solve them and we'll try to use our talents to do that. So, with that, any other new business? Okay, there's an adjournment. Motion by Don to adjurnn, second by Darcelo. We are adjourned. Thank you.
